About the Author

My name is Olúwákẹ́mi Ọlá-Òjó. I graduated from the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Nigeria as a Diagnostic Radiographer. I hold a Master of Science degree in Radiography from City University London. I am a qualified Radiographer and an Ultrasonographer.

Whilst I was a student trying to study medical ultrasound, a classmate invited me for a weekend but said I must bring my ultrasound books. Instead of carrying the heavy ultrasound books on the trip, I wrote less than 30 questions which we worked through but we couldn’t finish the entire weekend! There were no revision books available then!

After qualifying as an ultrasonographer, I couldn’t get a job so I started writing more questions for myself and answering them. These questions later became the skeleton for ‘Obstetric and Gynaecological Ultrasound: A Self-Assessment Guide’. ISBN 978-0443064623.

This book has been an asset globally and has helped many to pass their post-graduate training examinations be it as a Sonographer or as a Clinical Fellow in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

The other medical ultrasound books were written when I observed that ultrasound students and qualified colleagues were struggling in their practice. Each of the ultrasound books offers detailed guidance on how trainee or qualified colleagues can enhance their practice and offer the best services to the patients.

I have been actively involved in training professional colleagues in the UK since 2005. The various clinical settings and experiences are the base for each of the ultrasound books. Each of the ultrasound books and courses are structured to make learning easy, achievable and convenient for the trainee or qualified Sonographer.

I speak and write fluently in English and Yorùbá languages. Other types of books that I have been privileged to write provide 24/7 learning and support in areas of societal interest. These are available from: www.favouronline.kemiolaojo.com
